Swim to Success! The Best Summer Ever

Bird Rock Systems was excited to support Swim to Success, an opportunity to raise funds to give the children of Corazon de Vida access to a pool and swimming lessons for the summer!

A few members of our team went down to Baja California for a week to assist the swim instructors and provide support for the kids! For most of the kids, this was their first time ever seeing a pool or attempting to swim. Of course some had their fears, but by the end of the week they all were able to swim to success! 

Here are some quotes from the instructors that captured the experience:

"Being able to be part of this experience was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Seeing the kids getting to the park every morning exited, ready to learn and have fun with a big smile in their faces was magical. Seeing the progress that they had from day 1 to day 3 was huge, from some of them not being able to put their toes in the water to leaving the pool crying because they didn’t want to come out and the older ones being able to swim and float by themselves, was incredible.
Spending time everyday, eating together, playing, getting to know them and getting their trust was clear in their performance in the water. Being originally from Baja California I feel very grateful with “Swim to success” for the opportunity the team gave these children and very honored to have been part of this wonderful team. I hope to continue being part of this cause and that year after year we continue to see more and more little faces coming to this place to enjoy the water and learning how to swim."
